About The Project
This table is made from three beautiful wide walnut boards. A penetrating oil finish was first applied to enhance the color and visual depth of the wood grain. A durable table and counter top grade varnish was sprayed as the finish coat.
The top is supported by a graceful uplifting metal base from Flowyline Design. The black base is a great complement to the top’s rich walnut hue.
The table commission was my donation to the 2025 fundraiser event for Wildflyer Coffee. Wildflier is a fantastic Twin Cities institution whose mission is to create employment opportunities for youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability through the cultivation of life skills and personal empowerment. A commission for a custom table was auctioned at the event, with the winning bidder’s money going to Wildflier. I worked with the winning bidder to design and build this table.
