This section of my portfolio features custom designed and crafted dining room, kitchen, built-in and outdoor dining tables. The tables are made from a variety of domestic and exotic hardwoods, with some use of metal in the bases. Several tables have middle or end leaves to expand seating capacity. While some of the tables were stained, most are the wood’s natural color,or were enhanced via ammonia fuming which darkens the wood and enhances the visual depth of the wood grain.
Each of these tables was designed to meet the specific aesthetic and physical requirements of the customer. Some match the decor of the room while others complement and contrast. The commission process for the majority of these tables involved making models of multiple base options and full size top templates to determine the best design and dimensions. .
In all my tables a key goal is to highlight the natural the beauty of the wood. While the tables are places to sit and eat, they are also focal points of rooms in which they reside.
